All actions that we perform - the good, the pious, even those that we do out of
charity - have consequences that bind us to the world. So just by material good
actions, we cannot be freed.
It's about to take any action (inaction) which carry no reactions in this world
that are out of this world. Acts which exceed the limits of Karma-laws in the
world.
But what is there that is beyond duality and what we could direct our love?
Well, there are two things: first, God second, and the soul. But we, that is
the soul, our true self, we are beyond duality.
We must learn to love the soul of the other, regardless of the body, the mind
and the intellect of the other.
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself as yourself the self is meant, so the
soul, not the body, not just charity within the meaning of. Let us make sure
that the other person happy and healthy, a better materialist remains mired in
duality.
Likewise, the Buddha taught: "Whether you are tied with an iron or gold
chain - in both cases you are attached. Practiced their virtues have chosen her
the gold chain, throws her bad deeds, it is an iron chain. Both keep you
trapped. Only those who have shaken off the two chains of good and evil, is a
spiritually enlightened.
From a spiritual point of view, both the good and the evil are bad. Both bind
us to the duality. Whether we act good or bad, we will reap the karmic fruits
of our actions and be reborn and remain in duality. The ever so pious person
would as a result of his actions reap just so much good karma that he could
enjoy in the next life in the lap of luxury. Whether he then but is happy?
The evil that must be overcome is the duality in itself. She is the real evil.
We are here in this world apart from the unit we were sinful, guilty. Sin means
to do anything in duality, whether it is now so-called right or wrong.
